Siegfried: WASM
WebAssembly (WASM)
is a technology that enables you to run low-level
code in the safety of your own browser, protecting your computer and
your data. Richard Lehane talks more about the WASM implementation
of Siegfried on
his blog on LinkedIn
.
Demystify Lite
An analysis tool for file-format reports for digital preservation.
Demystify is a static-analysis tool for digital preservation.
You can take a CSV report from DROID, or Siegfried YAML, run it through this tool, and understand your collection better.
Demystify-lite processes everything on client-side, data isn't shared with a server and so it can be safely used on data without revealing your secrets to the world. This implementation is enabled by pyscript.

Browser compatibility
One limitation of the WASM build of Siegfried is that it doesn’t work in Firefox and Safari because of differing levels of support for the HTML File Picker.
It should work in Chrome, Edge, Opera, and a handful of other browsers.
If you experience any difficulties, check out Mozilla’s resource on browser compatibility.
